Loose Leaf Tea

Quick introduction to tea...this could be a very long and interesting segment but here are the basics.

Here are a few of the many benefits to including  quality loose leaf tea into your daily routine

The most common question we get ask is how do you steep loose leaf tea?

Very fair question so here is a nice chart that we have found...but remember these are guidelines not rules...part of the fun of experiencing different teas is trying different amounts of leaves, steeping for different lengths of time, some people like to add milk, or almond milk some like sugar or honey and the list goes on.  The one nice thing about tea...there is no wrong way to drink it your cup is a reflection of you so dive in and enjoy the experience.

Meet our star employee "Camellia Sinensis"

Camellia sinensis is a sub-tropical, evergreen plant native to Asia but is now much more widely grown. This plant grows best at high altitudes, and in sub-tropical climates. Here's where it gets interesting! Did you know that all teas (White, Green, Oolong, Black and Pu'erh) come from the same plant.? The wonderful and talented "Camellia sinensis".

So, "tea" is anything that comes from this incredible plant. Anything else, while sometimes called "tea", is more accurately referred to as an herbal tea or tisane.
